Various [zai] is used for the speaker enclosure. This is why though the tone changes if [zai] of the enclosure is changed? will
The answer: Because the vibration of the unit sounds in [zai] also the transmitting material and emits the sound.
Then, the sound from this enclosure might influence which part of the sound about which it thinks with the entire system.
The answer: It chiefly has a big influence on "Reverberant sound".
Let's see easily ..the influence of the sound of the enclosure in what kind of mechanism on "Reverberation sound"...
- The sound is radiated from the unit. (It is assumed sound A. )
- The vibration transmitted from the unit to the box is late of the one tempo, the box is vibrated, and the sound is originated. About 1/10 from the unit as for the ear, the box [karaderu] sound pressure level is very a sound of a cheap band of hundreds of-several thousand hz though it is not large. In addition, the important one is length to which the sound continues. It remains as a reverberant sound of 0.2-0.4 seconds though this cannot be indiscriminately said. The length of this time is ten times in length compared with the transition attenuation response of the vibration version of the speaker. It lasts long the vibration of the box without stopping at once though the sound stops at once in the vibration version to put it briefly if the signal stops. In a word, the vibration of this box and the influence of the room surpass the influence of the unit as for the one to compose the reverberant sound. (This is assumed to be sound B. )
- The vibration from the box is transmitted to the vibration version of the unit this time, and it becomes an obstruction of the vibration with an accurate vibration board. (The element that disturbs the sound of this unit is assumed to be C. )
This is a process that is common to all the speaker systems in this world and happens without fail though this is such feeling. The vibration (sound B and sound C) transmitted from this unit to the box is influenced in proportion to the sound pressure level, and cannot be adjusted to 0 completely. Any enclosure turns up the volume, the enclosure vibrates grandly, it mixes from the unit with the [detekuru] sound, and a part of the sound of the speaker will be formed.
It is because of hanging the enclosure on the vibration of the unit in a word why [zai] of the enclosure influences the reverberant sound and the vibration, and, so to speak, the enclosure is thought to be "Another vibration board" besides the unit. It might be comprehensible that the sound changes according to the material of the enclosure if it is thought the large change of tone quality with the material of the vibration board of the unit and the same. Because vibration of this enclosure occupies very big weight when it greatly influences reverberant sound so that vibration may last long, and it sees from the entire speaker system though is sound pressure level like vibration of unit
